How The Warehouse is using StyleShoots to grow their online presence

 

In September ‘16, The Warehouse NZ invested in a StyleShoots vertical system to fit into their existing in-house photography studio. The Warehouse marketing team operates their own in-house photography department, including a team of stylists and contract photographers.

This team is tasked with producing all Red marketing imagery elements, with the premise of photographing once and using across multiple streams, such as online, press, mailers, and in-store collateral.

It was the speed of the StyleShoots system that initially impressed Dave Corinaldi, Marketing Manager – Production.

“With online commerce growing, we needed to look at the time it took to photograph items, prepare the shot and get it into our workflow systems. The website is a hungry thing – we need to shoot items every day.

What interested me with StyleShoots was just how quick and easy the whole process is. Our cost base was ok and our timing was pretty good but with StyleShoots we just found it was better, simpler and faster to use.”

Initially The Warehouse bought the vertical system to use with mannequins, their chosen style direction for all garment shots across online and print. In March they followed up their initial purchase with the installation of a horizontal system, which will be used for many other items including pack shots, shoes, multiple other product shots and some styled imagery for social media like Instagram.

“We’ve just found the StyleShoots systems make it quicker and easier to get photography done. The stylists can pick up how to use the system very quickly – it’s that simple to use.

It puts the power back in the stylist’s hands and opens up their creativity further.

They can do a quick Instagram shot, upload it and get instant feedback on what they’ve just shot. It’s definitely more agile when it comes to getting shots done,” says Dave.

Dave was happy Andy Mackie of LookDepot, Australasian distributor, was there for the journey. “He’s got great industry knowledge and understands what the business needs and the direction we’re going in. I would highly recommend Andy to other companies – he was excellent to deal with.”
